Temple Coffee Roasters offers the people of Sacramento a truly premium coffee experience. Coffee of the highest quality and locations that are beautiful to hang out in are the things that set Temple apart from all others. It’s hard not to be impressed every time I visit a Temple location.
First and foremost, Temple is serious about their coffee brewing. According to their site, their sourcing model incorporates three pillars of sustainability: social, economical, and environmental. It’s commendable that they hold this philosophy so that all in their supply chain are treated well.
The dedication to the entire coffee making process is evident. From their three pillars to the taste of their coffee - everything is done right. The coffee is smooth and full of the complexity you want in your cup. Take a look around the coffee bar and you’ll see all the elaborate coffee making machines. From start to finish a lot of care is put into their craft.
All of this coffee amazingness does come at a cost as these cups of joy aren’t your typical gas station fare. Drop coffee is up around $4 with specialties like going well beyond the five dollar range. It’s very easy to spend $15-20 on coffee and some food whenever you step into a Temple.
So if you know you’re going to be spending some dough, you might as well get the best! My absolute favorite thing to get at Temple is the Bliss tea. It’s a peppermint tea with coconut milk and honey steamed in soy. The taste of the tea reflects its name and I get it almost every time I hit up Temple.
Check out the pastry case when you come in and see the delicious pastries on offer. The pastry offerings match the quality of the coffee and are satisfying. These pastries aren’t the ones you see at your local grocery store. Many of them are larger with a premium quality that you can easily see. Get a latte and something from the case and you’re Instagram feed will thank you!

You get what you pay for! Temple Coffee Roasters is not cheap, but the coffee and food that they offer is of the highest quality. It’s no wonder that these cafes are constantly packed!
