Zitio Sports-Bar and Grill

Woodland is a town that is known for its many authentic Mexican restaurants. Zitio Sports-Bar and Grill stands tall as one of the very best there. The meats they cook up are extremely flavorful, and the preparation of each dish is done beautifully. Though the atmosphere is very casual, everything about Zitio is done to a very high standard.

Zitio isn’t a hole-in-the-wall as the restaurant is large and easily visible on the street, however, it’s location in Woodland is away from the main restaurant areas - so if you’re not someone from around Woodland, Zitio would be very easy to miss. And that would be a shame.

Zitio is set up mainly as a bar. If you’d like to order food or drink, you do so at the counter where the cashier is. The menu is simple and straight forward. There are tacos, burritos, as well as nachos, fries, and chicken wings. If you’re into watching sports while enjoying some tasty food, Zitios is the place to be!

The tacos on offer are the traditional street style tacos with corn tortilla, onion, and cilantro. From the well-seasoned meat to the fresh accompaniments, every aspect of the tacos are great. I could probably just order five or six of these and be good to go.

Of course, if I did that I’d miss out on all the other great things at Zitio.

The nachos and fries are perfect for a group to share. For an individual person, I’d say the portion is too big! So bring some friends and chow down on these appetizers at the beginning of your visit.

If you’d like something unique, try the birria ramen. Yes, you heard me right… birria ramen! It’s a like Mexico meets the far east! This item has ramen noodles cooked in the birria consume that you usually dip tacos in. The flavors are distinctly both Mexican and Asian. It’s a taste that’s hard to describe, but worth a try - especially on a cold night.

Open late, has good food, has good service. That’s Zitio Sports-Bar and Grill in a nutshell. If you ever find yourself craving some Mexican food in the Woodland area, Zitio is the spot to hit up!
