Paesanos

There are two Paesanos locations in the Sacramento area - one in the city and the other in Davis. And if you like pasta, I’d hit one up as soon as possible! Paesanos offers very tasty pasty in a comfortable and modern restaurant. I’ve enjoyed each and every visit to Paesanos - it’s never a bad experience!

Paesanos is mainly known for their pasta dishes - it’s their specialty. No matter which one you order, you’ll enjoy a dish that is full of flavor. My absolute favorite pasta dish is the fettuccine arrostiti. This pasta dish has blackened chicken, pasilla chilies, red peppers, with a cilantro-lime cream sauce. All of the flavors incorporated here meld perfectly and give your taste buds a variety of textures to delight over.

The pork fusilli is another go-to pasta dish. If you’re feeling like something with a bit more of a kick, this may be the one for you! It features habanero pesto and braised pork. It’s topped with sour cream to mitigate some of the heat. This pasta dish is balanced perfectly and will again give your taste buds something to really enjoy.

If I’m looking for a dish that is more traditional and comforting, I’m going for the classic alfredo. This creamy pasta will warm you up on a cold day and have you feeling like you’ve come home. The rich sauce is smooth and full bodied - exactly how you’d want a fettuccine alfredo to be!

There are a few starters that stand out from the pack. The polenta fries and the bruschetta are amazing items to begin a meal with. The fries are packed with crunchy flavor. Dipping them in the balsamic ketchup is a must. The bruschetta is topped with a generous amount of fresh tomatoes. It’s a zesty dish that will open up your appetite for sure!

Also on the menu are salads if you’re not feeling as hungry or pizzas if that’s the feeling you’re having.

No matter what you select from Paesanos, it will be made with quality in mind.

The service at the restaurant has always been top notch. The servers and wait staff are great and attentive to your needs.

Be sure to look up hours before coming to Paesanos as the locations do not share the same hours of operation. According to their site, neither location is open on Monday.

As for pricing, Paesanos is mid-high as a pasta dish will run you between $15 and $20. I’d suggest coming to Paesanos for a special occasion like a birthday or graduation. It’s the perfect place for that!
