Doggeros

There’s a place in Woodland that combines good ‘ol American drive-in diner food and kicks it up a notch with a healthy does of Mexican flavor. That place is Doggeros. Doggeros offers hamburgers and hotdogs enhanced with spicy cheese and flavorful meats. There’s not another place that does it like Doggeros. So if you’re in Woodland, you might want to stop by and check this delicious location out!

Doggeros is a simple restaurant with an order window. There’s no indoor seating available, but there is a covered outdoor area with chairs for people to sit and enjoy their food. Once the food is ready, pick it up at the pick-up window and take it home or eat on-site. The choice is yours, but the food does come bagged and ‘to-go’ as their standard practice.

The menu at Doggeros reads like a perfect fusion of Mexican and American food. On the dog side of the menu, you can order hot dogs topped with carne asada (beef) or with chorizo (pork). These added meats greatly enhance the hot dog with layers of flavor. And along with the meat are ingredients like onions, guacamole, and fresh tomatoes. All of this combines nicely with their soft hot dog bun. These dogs are certainly superior to any standard hot dog and I’d be happy ordering one here any day of the week!

If you’re more in the mood for a hamburger, Doggeros has you covered in that area as well. Like the hot dogs, these burgers come loaded with sirloin patties accompanied with carne asada or chorizo. You can also get a burger loaded up with a hot link inside! The melding of the American and Mexican flavors is perfect and it makes me wonder why I haven’t seen this done in many places before. The combination is definitely a winner.

One of the items that stand our the most aside from the hot dogs and hamburgers is the grilled elote. Elote is grilled Mexican corn with a creamy topping. The elote is served in a cup. If you’re a fan of corn, you’ve really got to try elote. They used to serve it on the cob, but recently that style has been off the menu.

Birria fans will be happy to know that quesabirria is available here as well as birria fries and even ramen! Doggeros is right on it when it comes to this trendy item.

For hot days, you may want to try a mangonada. A mangonada is a Mexican dessert/drink that is similar to a frozen smoothie. It’s primarily mango flavored, but it is mixed with Tajin - a chile-lime salt that really ups the flavor profile. This might not be for everyone’s taste, but if you’re a bit adventurous I’d say it’s worth a try!

Overall Doggeros is an excellent place to eat in the Woodland area that gives an experience that is very much unlike what everyone else is doing. Their unique style of food is greatly appreciated. If you’ve always wanted a great combination of Mexican and American style of food, go check Doggeros out, you’ll enjoy it!

There are so many great items on the Doggeros menu. I’d definitely go for a hot dog or hamburger on my first visit, but definitely come back to try all the other things that you really can’t find anywhere else!
