Monsoon Burger
Monsoon Burger is well-known for having delicious burgers that rival any place in town. The burgers are large and expertly crafted with phenomenal flavor. There hasn’t been a time when I’ve gone to Monsoon that I’ve been disappointed. Get the burger, get the fries and you’ll be set for a filling and fantastic meal.
The Sacramento location is located in the Raley’s plaza on Del Paso Road. It’s stuffed in the back part of the plaza where you’ll find a Jack’s Urban Eats and Cold Stone Creamery. I think this location hides it away from the more trafficked areas of the plaza, which is too bad because this is not a restaurant that should be tucked away.
Burgers can be ordered in 6 oz or 9 oz varieties depending on your appetite. Interestingly, the burgers come open faced without any condiments or accompaniment. You have the choice at a condiment bar to add exactly what you’d like to the burger after it’s presented to you. At the bar there’s lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, as well as sauces that you can top your burger with. It’s a nice system that gives you the choice to have your burger exactly the way you want it to be.
The bun of the burger has to be mentioned as it comes toasted perfectly with a buttered bottom that adds that buttery taste you want to enhance the entire burger. I love how the buttered side has a nice crisp to it while the top remains soft. Buns can be overlooked at a lot of places, but they’re done right here.
On the side you can have your choice of different styles of fries, onion rings, or salad. And I’m happy to report that the fries here are great! They have your standard sized restaurant fry that comes to you nice and delicately crunchy on the outside. My only wish was that there were more for me to scarf down.
If you’re in the mood for a hot dog or chicken sandwich, Monsoon has you covered as both items are available for order. The hot dog was especially good with a premium dog and buttered bun similar to the hamburgers.
No matter what you order at Monsoon I am sure you’ll be satisfied with what you get. I highly recommend the Natomas style burger that they have. It has a satisfying spicy kick to it that I haven’t found anywhere else.
Burgers may be a common food item to find just about anywhere, but few do it as good as the folk over at Monsoon!

There are not many places I’d go for a burger other than Monsoon. If you’re in Natomas, you’ve got to hit up this restaurant so that you can enjoy these amazing burgers for yourself!
