Burgers and Brew
Burgers and Brew is a local restaurant chain that features delicious and large burgers, fries, and beer & wine. The locations have a traditional, yet modern take that invites you to come in, sit, and enjoy your food. And people have done this because these places are packed with diners frequently! It is a testament to the quality and taste of the food.
The burgers at Burgers and Brew are made from a 1/2 pound of Niman Ranch beef. A 1/2 is no joke as typical burger places are usually a 1/4 or 1/3. These hefty patties are placed inside a soft sesame seed bun that is seriously pillowy. Like the beef, the bun is even of the highest quality and I absolutely love them. The rest of the ingredients in the burger are really up to you. Just take a look at the menu and see what fancies you. I personally love their burgers with bacon. The bacon is a thick cut and pairs great with just about anything else you could want in the burger.
A combo gives you the option to pair the burger with salad or fries. Both options are great, and you can’t go wrong with either. It’s really up to how you feel at the moment. The salad options were a traditional caesar or spring mix. If you want fries, you could go with the curly variety or upgrade to onion rings or a specialty fry loaded with toppings. At most places I would automatically go for the curly fries, but the regular standard fries here are so good I honestly just pick these most of the time I come here.
For the brew portion of the restaurant, you get a huge selection of suds to choose from. Burgers and Brew has a wide selection of local beers and wine. Of course you can also just get a soda if that’s your jam (It’s MY jam!).
The Davis location is a smaller sized restaurant but they have really built it out. Not only is their porch seating, but there are two totally separate tented areas to sit at and enjoy a meal. These spaces are necessary because there just isn’t enough space for the amount of patrons that want to eat there.
My only gripe about Burgers and Brew is the wait time to get your food. If you go during off peak hours there is not problem at all in terms of this, but dining in can be another story. On my most recent visit, it took just about 40-minutes for me to get my food after I had ordered it. The restaurant was packed, and it the wait time made sense, but it was a very long time. Just keep that in your head if you’re hungry and looking for food right away.
I forgot about all of that after getting my burger and enjoying every last bite though. You always leave full and happy!
