Anonimo Pizza
Anonimo Pizza is the neighborhood pizza place that Sacramento needs. This small corner restaurant creates a high quality pizza that stands heads and shoulders above most others in town. WARNING: these delicate and balanced flavors will combine to amaze and satisfy your taste buds. You might just forget about every other pizza place after visiting Anonimo!
I would say the style of pizza Anonimo serves up is of the ‘high quality artisan style’. It reminds me a bit of the pizza Hot Italian served up when they were still up and running. Anonnimo seems to have filled the void left by Hot Italian. The pizzas are of a thinner variety with a crust that has a crisp texture in the mouth. You’ll find that the ingredients used are carefully placed as to give the pie a punch when your tongue meets the topping. It’s quite the adventure in eating as you find each ingredient on the slice.
I’m happy to say that the ingredients were very fresh and didn’t feel like they came out of a can or bag. I appreciate and felt the care that went into making the pizza I had at Anonimo. It’s a quality that is hard to put your finger on, but you know it’s there. These pies are simply good!
Looking at the menu, you’ll find pizza combinations that would intrigue any foodie. They have a pear honey pizza that has shredded mozzarella, gorgonzola, pear, prosciutto, and honey. You can also find a clam pizza, truffle pizza, and a spicy meatball pizza amongst a host of others. These are not the kind of pizzas that you get at your local Dominos. I’d encourage you to check out the menu to see the full listing of pizzas available to order. There seems to be a pizza for whatever kind of taste you’d be craving on any given day.
Not in the mood for pizza? You can also order from a list of four salads - wedge, caesar, house, and a chef’s chop. Usually salads at pizza places are just throw-in menu items, but the salads here each have inclusions that elevate them above the Hidden Valley Ranch level. The wedge features bacon and pickled jalapenos, the caesar has homemade croutons, and the chef’s chop has finocchiona salami, brick cheese, and champagne vinaigrette.
In terms of price, you’re looking at a little under $20 for a 13-inch pizza and about $30 for a 17-inch one. You also have the option for a pan style pizza that is a few dollars less than the 17-inch price. The salads are between $10 and $13.
If you’re in the mood for pizza that stands apart from the usual chains, Anonimo Pizza is a restaurant that you should highly consider giving a try. The flavors and combinations you’ll find there are worthy of your consideration!

I’m really glad that there’s a place that you can get a high quality pizza in the style that Hot Italian had when they were still around. I’d say that in many ways Anonimo is actually the superior of the two! Anonimo has better prices and their crust isn’t as overly done as Hot Italian did it. We’ve got a winner here!
